Disney World Photo Book

Project Details

Number of Images: 60

Number of Pages: 20 (10 spreads)

Type of book: Hardcover

Book Size: 8” W x 10” H

After editing the photos from our EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Disney World trip, I created my very first family 8" W x 10" H book. Typically, for personal vacation memories, I design 10" x 10" books.

So, why did I choose a book with different dimensions this go around? Well, to be perfectly honest, mostly out of curiosity. I wanted to try something new, and have a different size to show customers when we plan their adventure archives. I love the idea of designing family yearbooks in the 8" W x 10" H size. Perhaps, when it's time to print the Cookie Book Project, and the Chex Mix Project books, I'll be adventurous. What do you think?

The Adventure

Fun fact: you can frequent Disney World 25 times, and still not see/eat/ride everything. When we visited the Happiest Place on Earth in April, David and I decided we would try and venture outside of our Disney comfort zone and schedule new-to-us experiences.

On our first morning, we booked a character breakfast at the Garden Grill Restaurant. I wholeheartedly recommend the experience, and here's why:

1. Family Style Dining // Many of the character dining options are buffet-style. However, at the Garden Grill Restaurant, the meal is "family-style," but STILL all-you-can-eat. As Mickey and his gang make the rounds, cast members deliver plates full of delicious breakfast staples including MICKEY WAFFLES! Full menu here (they also offer lunch, and dinner).

2. Characters // Throughout breakfast, we met Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. While character meals are a bit expensive, I think they are well worth the time saved waiting in line (or using a FastPass) to meet your favorite Disney pals. Plus, they are wearing the cutest outfits. Farmer Mickey? Adorable.

3. Eating Before the Park Opens // When you opt for a character meal for breakfast, I recommend the first seating (usually an hour before the park opens). That way, you can get to the park early, eat breakfast, meet a few magical friends, and beat the crowds when the park opens. We never felt rushed, yet still made it to Soarin' before the lines were too long.

We also stayed at the Grand Floridian for the very first time. Generally speaking, we opt for a value resort (Art of Animation and Pop Century are my favorites), but we were on a mission to explore new resorts! Let me tell you what, the Grand Floridian didn't disappoint. The experience is entirely different, and we spent a decent amount of time enjoying the resort and escaping the park crowds. I'm going to write a post on our stay because it was pure Disney Magic. I'm especially grateful for the quick photos I snapped because I never want to forget those moments, sitting in the lobby, and listening to the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra.

Does anyone else take too many photos on the Safari? Each time we visit, I can't help but capture the beautiful Disney animals.

If you have photos from your Disney vacation, send them my way! I'd love to create a book of your magical trip. Or, if you just want to talk about Disney World, I'd love that, too.

Thanks for stopping by the blog!
